Nyee Moses is a musical storyteller of diverse worlds. With restrained passion her vocals are captivating and soulful. In her debut release, she's created music that is smooth, sexy and intoxicating as it smolders and soars Growing up in upstate New York and Philadelphia, Nyee studied classical training in voice and guitar. As she developed artistically, she started writing poetry and music as a means of expressing her emotions and was influenced by artists such as Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, George Clinton, Sting and Sade. The tracks are co-produced and co-written by Marquis "Hami" Dair and Susan Youngblood. The Producers included the talents of fine musicians of varied persuasions, giving the album an eclectic texture reflecting the diverse background of the artist and her love of World music.The tracks are infused with Jazz, Latin, Reggae,R&B, and Hip-hop influences mixed and blended to perfection. © Nyee Moses

Nyee Moses (nigh-ee) self-titled album is full of seductive and soulful tracks. She sings with a soft and sensual voice in different styles (Smooth Jazz, Neo-Soul, Latin). 'Love is a Lion' is for me one of the best tracks on this CD. This is a cd that you have to listen several times, 'cause you'll get the feeling to discover more every time you listen. This album is best described by Soutrax.com: Jazzy Soul reminscent of Sade, mixed with elements of world music. But..Nyee has developed a style that is uniquely her own! When Nyee sings, “Tell her it will be okay…you will find your way,” she captures the overriding hopeful feeling of the whole album. As you listen, you’ll find yourself swaying and dreaming along with her.And last but not least, she is one of a few artist that takes there time to keep in touch with fans like me & the rest. Hopefully she will continue to produce more albums, I'm sure there are a lot of fans that wanna buy this or her next album(s).
